Delete your data

Last updated: July 19, 2026

Intent is designed to keep your data on your device. This page explains exactly what data exists, how to delete all of it, and how to request removal of the small amount of crash-diagnostic data that is sent off-device.

There's no account to delete

Intent does not require an account or sign-in, and it does not create one for you. There is no username, password, email, or profile stored on any server — so there is no account to close.

Everything Intent knows about you (your screen-time history, focus sessions, daily goals, and settings) is stored locally on your device. Deleting your data means clearing it from the device, as described below.

What data exists and where

Data Where it lives
Focus session history, daily goals, settings On your device — the app's local Room database
Screen-time and app-usage stats On your device — read from the system, never stored off-device
Crash logs & anonymous diagnostics Sent to Firebase (Google) for stability monitoring — deletable by request

Delete all on-device data

You have two ways to remove the data Intent stores on your device. Both are immediate and permanent.

A

Clear the app's data

This wipes Intent's local database while keeping the app installed.

Settings → Apps → Intent → Storage → Clear Data

B

Uninstall the app

Removing Intent deletes all of its local data along with it. Long-press the Intent icon and choose Uninstall, or remove it from Settings → Apps → Intent.

After either step, all focus history, goals, journal entries, and settings stored by Intent are gone. This action cannot be undone, and none of that data was ever copied to a server.

Delete crash & diagnostic data

The only data Intent sends off your device is crash logs and anonymous stability diagnostics, processed by Firebase Crashlytics and Firebase Analytics (Google). This never includes your screen-time data or the names of apps you use or block.

To request deletion of diagnostic data already associated with your device, email us and we'll remove it:

Request diagnostic-data deletion

Please send your request from, or mention, the device you'd like cleared so we can identify the correct records. We'll confirm once the deletion is complete.
